What are Palmitoylethanolamide Capsules?
Palmitoylethanolamide is a naturally occurring substance that appears to be produced in the body on demand in areas of pain. It has been suggested to have useful analgesic properties and has been explored in humans spanning various clinical trials in a variety of pain states for inflammatory and pain syndrome. The chemical compound is often abbreviated as PEA, but this is not to be confused with Phenethylamine which is abbreviated under the same acronym. PEA is also isolated from peanut meal, egg yolk, and soylecithin. palmitoylethanolamide-powder-also-10-21.jpg

Palmitoylethanolamide Benefits & Uses Include:

  • Supplementation may assist in the bodies response to pain†
  • Supports positive pain management†

How Does Palmitoylethanolamide Work?
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is part of the N-acylethanolamine family and is synthesized and metabolized in cells through several enzymes and provides a multitude of physiological functions related to metabolic homeostasis[1]. N-acylethanolamines are endogenous biologically active lipids. Supplementing with PEA may help in the regulation of the body’s natural pain management system. The antiinflammatory properties of PEA allow for a reduction of central and peripheral sensitization mediated by neuronal and nonneuronal cells[2].
