What is L-Citrulline?
L-Citrulline is a nonessential amino acid produced by the body that provides the following benefits, prolonged muscle protein synthesis, muscle growth, and recovery after training. The advantages afforded are a result of elevated blood arginine levels, which yield higher Nitric Oxide (NO) production, muscle protein synthesis, and faster recovery time. The process in which Citrulline is useful for is the reduction of fatigue during training. Citrulline is produced when the combination of Ornithine and Carbamoyl Phosphate come together. This pairing occurs when your body removes nitrogen waste during the urea cycle. Supplementing Citrulline is believed to put the urea cycle in overdrive, allowing it to take in more ammonia, which is composed of nitrogen molecules, nitrogen molecules produced by working muscles. This, in combination, reduces the fatigue caused by muscles at the source.

How Does L-Citrulline Work?
The excess of Citrulline triggers a more substantial effect of arginine conversion into Nitric Oxide or NO. The increase in Arginine in the blood yields an increase in Nitric Oxide production. The uptake of Nitric Oxide increases blood flow during exercise and allows for muscles to perform for a longer duration when working out, which gives weightlifters the ability to produce bigger muscle pumps. The mechanisms of Citrulline during exercise provides more benefits outside of increasing blood arginine levels; it offers an array of benefits, including increased protein synthesis, creatine synthesis, and more efficient BCAA utilization by muscles during exercise. Supplementing with Citrulline has become more favorable over supplementing with Arginine, as studies indicate that Citrulline is more effective at increasing plasma arginine levels in the body.

Suggested Use:
As a dietary supplement, take 3 rounded scoops (~3 grams) and mix with 8 - 12 ounces of water or suitable beverage. Taken 30 minutes prior to exercise and again immediately after for maximum results.
