This compound includes L-Citrulline and Malic Acid in a 1:1 ratio. L-Citrulline in combination with malate is the most researched form of citrulline for potential exercise and performance benefits. How Does L-Citrulline DL-Malate 1:1 Powder Work?
Citrulline is produced when Ornithine combines with Carbamoyl Phosphate, which occurs during the urea cycle when your body removes nitrogen waste. The addition of Citrulline in the body is said to put the urea cycle in overdrive, allowing it to absorb more ammonia, which is produced by working muscles. The combined form of Citrulline with Malate has a second added effect of reducing fatigue; the malate helps the body recycle lactic acid and use it for energy. The result of increased ammonia removal, lactic acid recycling, and postponing the decrease in muscle pH levels allows users to have increased repetition count. Citrulline Malate also is known to increase arginine levels, which subsequently increases the amount of nitric oxide produced, helping to promote healthy vasodilation. Normal vasodilation ensures that blood circulates healthily, and may yield a more satisfying pump while working out through supporting the ATP system to prolong workouts. Citrulline Malate also has been shown to reduce lactic acid, the acid responsible for the soreness experienced after a workout.

Directions & Allergens
As a dietary supplement, take 3 rounded scoops (~3 grams) and mix with 8 - 12 ounces of water or suitable beverage. Taken 30 minutes prior to exercise and again immediately after for maximum results.

I have had problems of long lasting fatigue after exertion. I decided to try L-Citrulline after receiving an email about it from Hard Rhino and it seemed to help. Then l tried L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 and that definitely helped so l tried the 1:1 and that one helps my recovery the most. IMO trying all three is important because what works for one may not be the best for another.

I use Citrulline Malate before and after workouts, straight Citrulline anytime anyday to increase NO and remove ammonia. On an empty stomach its a few minutes until I can feel the effects of a couple grams as it hits my system.
