Description

gaba-powder.jpgWhat Is GABA Powder?
Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) is a required inhibitory neurotransmitter that blocks the transmission of a nerve impulse from one cell to another in the central nervous system. This inhibitory mechanic prevents the over-firing of nerve cells. In the human brain, it has been posited that GABA signals interfere with the registration and consolidation stages of memory formation as well as counteracting Glutamate in the brain and balancing the levels. It is believed that the GABA system is found in the hippocampus, an area within the brain that is responsible for the consolidation of information from short-term memory to long-term memory. GABA has also been noted to participate in the sleep cycle as it is one of the abundant neurotransmitters, which may promote a relaxing effect. While GABA can not be obtained naturally from foods, certain foods, such as fruits, vegetables, teas, and red wine, contain substances such as flavonoids that influence how GABA works in the brain. How Does GABA Powder Work?
Gamma-aminobutyric acid is an amino acid that naturally occurs in the body and acts as a neurotransmitter. GABA, specifically, is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in that it blocks or inhibits specific brain signals and slows down nervous system activity. In the brain, GABA attaches itself to a protein known as a GABA receptor and produces a calming effect. GABA is also responsible for controlling feelings of fear and anxiety. Through its mechanics as a neurotransmitter, GABA may be accountable for improved general wellness, which in turn may support sleep and relaxation.

Hard Rhino has really good products. That said, this one does not seem to do much for me. It may very well just be me too...not everyone responds to everything or the same to everything.
