What is Epicatechin?
Epicatechin is a bioactive compound and classified as a flavonol, a sub-sub-group of polyphenols found in green tea. Polyphenols have been used in ayurvedic medicine for centuries and occur organically in plants. This compound is most commonly found in green tea as well as dark chocolate. Epicatechin has undergone numerous studies; epicatechin is believed to possibly promote muscle strength while also supporting healthy cholesterol levels through its antioxidant properties. In conjunction with its antioxidant properties, Epicatechin may increase Nitric Oxide production, which allows for blood to flow more easily to muscles, and is the reason for the feeling associated with the phrase “pump” when lifting. Epicatechin is also believed to potentially assist with certain cognitive tasks such as memory and executive function.†

How Does Epicatechin Work?
Epicatechin operates by inhibiting myostatin through increased follistatin levels, which is a protein located in the muscles. Because epicatechin is an antioxidant, it may have neuroprotective properties. These neuroprotective properties may help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. In conjunction with increasing Nitric Oxide production, Epicatechin may also encourage angiogenesis. With increased NO production and angiogenesis, epicatechin may also promote the feeling of increased energy.†

Suggested Use:

Strength up, recovery up
I cannot say 100% that this product alone has increased my strength and recovery but ever since it’s implementation i’m able to do way more sets at an increased weight almost too good to be true. 1 in the morning with mk6*7 and 1 before the gym with 10g creatine, 20g citruline m2:1 otherwise natural. Highly recommend giving it a try.
