Harvest Naturals Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Softgels contain fatty acids extracted from Safflower Oil with no inactive ingredients or fillers packaged inside a gelatin capsule. CLA is a collection of fatty acids and belongs to the family of polyunsaturated fats, or PUFA's. Linoleic fatty acids (omega-6) are conjugated within the molecule displaying a double bond at a point alongside the fatty acid. This conjugation is what separates CLA from other forms of linoleic acids.

How Does Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) Work?
The implementation of CLA in dietary supplementation is primarily to support and induce lipolysis, healthy balance of fats, and the metabolism of proteins in the body. CLA's molecular signaling receptor family is known as PPAR, which is related to fat and glucose/lipid metabolism and said to interact in the body by reducing the storage of fats and promoting fat metabolism by skeletal muscles. CLA is also believed to assist heart health in that it helps lower LDL, otherwise known as 'bad cholesterol.' In conjunction with lowering LDL levels, the polyunsaturated fat may also aid in weight loss, further bolstering its support of heart health. Further proposed mechanics of CLA include the potential reduction of fats in adipose tissue, bone mineralization, the re-synthesis of glycogen, and the modulation of immune function.
