What is Betaine Trimethylglycine TMG Powder?
Harvest Naturals' Betaine Trimethylglycine TMG (unflavored) is a pure form powder with no excipients or fillers, available in multiple sizes.
Betaine may provide natural digestive support by promoting stomach acidity, gastric function, and digestion of protein. Trimethylglycine (TMG) is a molecule which, structurally, is the amino acid Glycine with three methyl groups attached to it. It is known as a betaine molecule. The terms' trimethylglycine' and 'betaine' are interchangeable.
Also, because it was the first dietary supplement, discovered from the Beet Root, it is the most popular compound referred to as a betaine[1].

Potential Benefits may Include:

  • Supports healthy digestion †
  • Promotes cardiovascular health †
  • Promotes muscle protein synthesis †

How Does Betaine Trimethylglycine TMG Powder Work?
TMG is an 'osmolyte,' a type of molecule that regulates the water balance in cells. TMG is capable of directly methylating homocysteine, which in turn is cardioprotective. TMG, when taken at doses of 3g or more, is shown to reduce homocysteine levels. Though correlation does not equal causation, individuals with high homocysteine levels may be at risk for cardiovascular issues. Taking TMG may help to reduce that risk.

    TMG to SAMe

Posted by Unknown on 24th Mar 2016

SAMe is too expensive, so i'm taking this everyday. I've taken before in caps, but this is way cheaper, I got a kilo, should last a while.

I feel mild mood elevation, mostly what I expected. The purity is solid per HR, and price rocks, i'm real satisfied!

    Non GMO Betaine

Posted by John on 3rd Aug 2015

I've been looking for an organic form of TMG. I had been using another brand but the gastrointestinal discomfort led me to believe it was from gmo sugar beets. This product does not give me any discomfort. For anyone who has problems with liver phase II detox, methylation can help tremendously. Another area to focus is sulfation because glyphosate depresses the sulfation pathway (see Jeffrey Smith interviews Dr. Stephanie Seneff). Genetically engineered dna is only one of the issues, glyphosate ingestion is the other.
