Description
What is Muscle Empire's Beta-Ecdysterone?
Beta-Ecdysterone, also called 20-hydroxyecdysone, is the active principle in several plants, including Rhaponticum carthamoides, or Maral root, Suma, Cyanotis vaga, and Cyanotis arachnoidea, which is also referred to as hydroxyecdysone. Muscle Empire’s Beta-Ecdysterone is extracted from Cyanotis Arachnoidea, a plant native to China, rich in phytoecdysteroids which are considered the potential catalyst for muscle protein synthesis. Found in a variety of other plants and insects, Beta-Ecdysterone is similar in structure to a compound found in humans associated with muscle growth, strength, and recovery; due to this, Beta-Ecdysterone may have anabolic-like effects. Researchers believe it to have protein stimulating effects promoting increased muscle protein synthesis, lean body tissue, and strength. One such study states that the continuous infusion of 20-hydroxyecdysone showed an increase in muscle mass. Other studies show that “ecdysterone has been demonstrated to increase protein synthesis in skeletal muscle” (Syrov, 2000).
Beta-Ecdysterone Benefits & Uses include:

- Supports Improved Athletic Performance †
- Promotes Healthy Cholesterol †
How Does Beta-Ecdysterone Work?
Beta-Ecdysterone is taken by many as a way to increase lean muscle mass and as a way to improve workouts. The combination of resistance training and the consumption of Beta-Ecdysterone is believed to enhance lean body mass. The intended purpose of Beta-Ecdysterone is to encourage both cellular and muscular recovery, and when combined with animal-based proteins such as fish, eggs, chicken, etc., could potentially yield better results. In addition to its potential benefits relating to muscle protein synthesis, it may also possess traits that protect neural tissue. Through the use of isoflavones, Beta-Ecdysterone may improve healthy cholesterol levels. In addition, the androgenic behaviors of Beta-Ecdysterone are one of the many reasons that bodybuilders supplement with it, as it does not possess any of the effects of androgens.

Ecdy
I’m a 22 year old male 6’1, 202 lbs (197 a week ago), with fairly high testosterone levels, and I’ve been lifting since I was 14. I’m very familiar with my body chemistry in terms of how I gain and lose; and I can confidently say after a week of dosing 2 capsules before workout alongside roughly 60g of protein (spaced out between breakfast and lunch), then 1 more capsule post-workout along with another 60g of protein, I’m seeing results in mass and strength that I wouldnt normally achieve in a week. I’m currently doing the cleanest bulk I’ve ever done, simple chicken, brown rice, and quinoa all damn day, with peanut butter oatmeal and eggs. My macros are usually around 150-180g of protein a day, with about 140-200g of carbs, and about 40ish g of fat. I’m very satisfied with the results. I’m not used to bulking and also leaning down on body fat. I’d like to point out, this supplement does not increase test levels, so for all the people who are doing weak research, you’re not going to go to the doctor a month from now and see your test levels have risen.

I wanted to see if the supplement was worth all the hype so I bought 2 60 count bottles and I'm currently on a 10 pound bulk. My Squat 1 rep max has gone up by by 10 pounds already but take from that what you want. I'll try to remember to add more later but in my opinion doesn't hurt to give it a shot. Also 21 been lifting for about 2 or 3 years start weight was 182 and original max Bench was 230, Squat was 315, stopped Deadlift to let hip recover.
