What Is Artichoke Leaf Extract?
Artichoke leaf extract is an extract made from the leaf of the Artichoke plant to create a high concentration of that plant's properties, which have been shown to contain several benefits. The extracts from the Artichoke plant are for stimulating the flow of bile from the liver. Other effects of Artichoke extract include the reduction of symptoms from "heartburn." Artichoke Leaf Extract may also reduce LDL, or 'bad cholesterol,' while simultaneously increasing HDL or 'good cholesterol.' In conjunction with promoting healthy cholesterol, Artichoke Leaf Extract may also aid in regulating healthy blood pressure, making the extract a beneficial supplement for supporting cardiovascular health.

Artichoke Leaf Benefits & Uses Include:

  • Supports healthy cholesterol†
  • Supports digestive health†
  • May assist in cardiovascular health†
  • Supports liver health†

How Does Artichoke Leaf Extract Work?
The leaves of the Artichoke plant have ongoing clinical and experimental trials showing mutual benefits as an herbal remedy. Artichokes rank among the most antioxidant-rich of all vegetables. Artichoke contains a specific antioxidant called luteolin, which in studies suggests it may assist in the prevention of cholesterol formation. In other studies, it is purported that artichoke leaf encourages your body to process cholesterol more efficiently to lower overall levels. Also, due to Artichoke's antioxidant-rich properties, it is suggested that it may promote healthy liver function when taken at doses of 600mg daily. Artichoke leaf in addition to its antioxidant-rich properties happens to be high in inulin, a type of fiber which acts as a prebiotic assisting in the improvement in gut bacteria and leading to the creation of probiotics.†

Consider This:
Consider pairing our Artichoke Leaf Extract with our Astragalus Root 10:1 for a combination of antioxidant properties and cardiovascular benefits.†

    Anti-inflammatory properties of artichoke

Mix this with a nice syrup for a soothing digestive aid. I make mine with blueberry pancake syrup and take one tablespoon every morning. You can also cook with it or sprinkle your veggies.
